Previously on Twitter, X announced on Friday it partnered with Polymarket to name its platform’s official forecast market partner. Launched in 2020, Polymarket allows users to use cryptocurrencies to bet on the results of real events.
The company did not release any details about the partnership, but shared that it will launch a “integrated product to provide data-driven insights and recommendations.” Polymarket’s forecast, combined with X data, provides Live Insights, along with real-time annotations of market movements from Grok and related X posts, explained in a press release.
The product will be the first of a “sequence of integrations and unique experiences” coming out of the partnership, the company said.
“Combining Polymarket’s accurate, fair, and real-time predictive market probability with Grok’s analysis and X’s real-time insights, we can instantly provide contextualized, data-driven insights to millions of Polymet users around the world.” “We look forward to strengthening X and Polymet users’ ability to break news and instantly understand informed decisions about the future as we continue to expand our platform.”
In 2024, more than $8 billion was forecasted in multi-layered terms, beyond politics, current events, pop culture and more.
The news comes almost a year after Polymarket partnered with the AI-powered search engine confusion to display news summary for the event. This happened around the same time that Polymarket partnered with Substack to allow writers to embed predictive data from the platform into their posts.
