Recent ask-me-anything (ama) sessionCardano co-founder Charles Hoskinson confirmed that XRP support will soon come to the input and output race wallet.
Developed by one of the major entities behind the Cardano Blockchain, the light wallet entered the pubic mainnet in April 2023. Users were able to wager ADA directly from the wallet.
Subsequent updates introduced a variety of new features, including distributed applications and enhanced connectivity for hardware integration. In June 2024, Race enabled multi-wallet and multi-account support.
As Reported by U.Todaythe team behind the race announced that the wallet is multi-chained, allowing Bitcoin support in April. With the release of LACE 1.22, users have gained the ability to store and manage Bitcoin Holdings on their test networks. This new feature also provides evidence to introduce Bitcoin-based Decentralized Finance (DEFI) to Cardano.

Hoskinson’s XRP U-turn
After rebutting with members of the XRP community in the past, Hoskinson has been supporting Tokens and Ripple Labs.
Last December, he praised Ripple USD (RLUSD) Stablecoin, saying he was working on bringing the token to Cardano.
Recently, he also approved the idea that Ripple would get Stablecoin Firm Ripple Labs.
