The Plume Network, supported by Galaxy Ventures, has launched the public mainnet Plume Genesis. The platform is the first full-stack blockchain and ecosystem built specifically for real-world asset finance (RWAFI). Unlike previous initiatives that focus primarily on asset symbolism, Plume Genesis offers an infrastructure designed to integrate RWA into DEFI applications.

At launch, Plume Genesis includes chain facility grade RWA from companies such as Superstate, Blackstone and Invesco. The network supports over $150 million in real-world asset capital and hosts over 200 announced projects. It also provides access to liquidity across a variety of asset classes. The ecosystem features a combination of Rwafi-Native and established Defi applications such as Morpho, Curve, Orderly, Matrixdock, Lorenzo, Rooster, Solera, Mystic.

Plume aims to make RWA tokens work in the same way as native cryptographic tokens within the Defi system. This allows users to access traditional asset classes while using tools such as lending, agricultural yields, and leveraged trading. The platform has onboarded over $4 billion in assets over time.

One important feature is Nest, Plume’s internal Rwafi protocol. Nest offers facility-grade safes that allow users to bet Stablecoins and expose to RWAS. In return, they receive an RWA token containing the yield. It can be used as collateral for your Defi application to access further capital and strategy.

Plume works with regulators and policymakers in the US, Europe, the UAE and Asia to form a crypto and capital market framework. This includes discussions with US lawmakers, the Treasury Department, the SEC and Hong Kong and European officials.

In a future update, Plume will expand the types of tokenized RWAs available on the platform. These may include non-traditional categories such as fine art, precious metals, vehicles, uranium, trading cards, and other potential applications for Rwafi.
