Blocktity, a platform that uses blockchain and AI to protect trading documents, launched a custom Avalanche Layer-1 blockchain network using Avacloud. As part of the transition, the company has migrated 45,000 existing certificates of trust (COA) from the avalanche C-chain and cast 700,000 new COAs on the new mainnet. Together, these documents represent over $1.2 billion in certified products.

The move comes amid growing regulatory attention to global trade from US customs and international authorities. Blockticity’s digital COA includes metadata and verification capabilities, replacing traditional PDF certificates with formats that support automation and auditability.

The COA is built to comply with the ASTM Blockchain Standard (D8558) and meets document requirements set by regulatory bodies such as the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). The platform is designed to support cross-border compliance through Tamper Extenm Records.

Migrating to Blockticity’s dedicated Avalanche Layer 1 network offers benefits such as Balidator-based security, predictable gas pricing, and Stablecoin compatibility. These features are intended to reduce operational complexity, speed up transaction settlements, and support enterprise-scale adoption of blockchain-based transaction documents.
